height and width from a file in premiere

What is the maximum height and width (in pixels) a file (graphic) can have in Adobe Premiere Pro. I tried to import a graphic (236516 x138) but it was not supported. I want to run the strip through the video.

Although how much is dependant on the horsepower of your computer to actually handle such a large graphic is not stated.

Since your 236516 x 138 graphic exceeds the 256 mega pixel limit,  I'd try it in After Effects.
