Hello everyone!
I've got some footage on my Sony FX30 that has been recorded in XAVC S-I 4K, 10bit, 4:2:2, at 30fps, shot in Slog3 that I want to edit in Premiere Pro, the latest version (23.5), on a MacBook M1 Max.
After I add my mp4 files to the project timeline this is what I see whenever the video is paused. If I start playback it plays just fine but whenever it's paused it looks like this. Also, if I render it, this is what the video looks like, it's just a mess.
Things I've tried:
Nothing works for Premiere Pro. I did open up the footage in DaVinci Resolve and there are no issues there. It plays/pauses/renders just fine there.
Also, Catalyst Browse can play, pause, convert them without any issues to X AVC S and I can work with those files in Premiere, but I lose a lot as they are three times smaller.
What baffles me is that this problem has appeared suddenly and I haven't had it happen before. Same type of footage, camera etc. no issues before.
Does anyone have any idea what's happening and how I can fix it? Thank you!

My MacOS is updated to the latest version, so is Premiere Pro, sadly I don't think this is the reason for the glitch.

Hi FatherKaido!
Thank you for trying troubleshooting. Which OS version do you have? Can you also share some files with us to test the issue? https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html
Let us know.
Thanks,

Hello, Kartika!
I am running macOS Ventura 13.4.1.
I tried uploading the mp4 files to Creative Cloud but it gives me an unsupported filetype error so I will use WeTransfer instead, let me know if that is okay, or if you prefer a different method?

Thank you for taking the time to do that and letting me know, I appreciate it! Maybe it's an issue with the MacOS version of Premiere, specifically?

Thanks for your patience. A similar issue was recently fixed in v1.1 of the Sony Catalyst Prepare plugin. If you are using an earlier version of the plugin, please update to the latest version & check if it's working properly.
Hope it helps. Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Sumeet
