Hello everyone.
I'm quite new to Adobe Premiere, but we're trying to create a music video for a song we're working on. What we're hoping to achieve is to have our main shot of a person (who's lip syncing the words), with his face above the mouth blocked out by a separate box, that is simultaneously playing other video. Then we're going to have some strange psychedelic video clips showing in that box.
The camera is moving around a bit as well, so ideally we would like to be able to 'motion track' the separate video, so that it stays on his face for the duration of the clip. Almost like the person has a video screen for head, playing separate video...
Does anyone have any suggestions on how we might achieve this? What Premiere tools we might look in to using?
Another thing we thought of trying, would be to shoot the video with a picture frame on his face, like a face mask. And then make the inside of the frame green, and chroma key it out, showing the separate video. I feel like the first option would look better though.
Thank you so much in advance for any ideas you may have!
Cheers.
(using Premiere Pro CC 2017)

Premiere does not do motion track, best is to use AE for these kind of effects.

What Ann says, it's best to use After Effects for this purpose, as the Camera Motion Tracker is far more advanced than the Track Mask Effect in Premiere Pro (which will mainly be used for adding mask effects, such as a blur. With AE, you can have a Composition playing inside the tracked area, which is the effect you're after.
