how do I change an AI created video CLIP to the proper size to use the new Generative Extend?

hey all.  I"m inspired to try out the new Generative Extend in Premiere.  However, when using Runway generated AI videos it's telling me that videos have to be 1980x1020, and changing the sequence isn't actually changing the clips.  What can I do to change the clip itself?

  • Frame size: The video needs to have a resolution of 1920x1080 or 1280x720.

Vertical videos or other aspect ratios are currently not supported. We're considering this for future updates to the feature.

So you will have to put your clip on a sequence set to either of those resolutions, then export it and reimport it.

That worked.  Thank you

That solved it.  Also, as I consider it, is there a not-going-through-premiere on a clip-by-clip basis solution to changing video size? Like something I can batch on the side *before* importing into premiere at the desired resolution? That would speed up my workflow I think unless there's another PR solution

Drop your clips in Media Encoder and export at the aforementioned resolutions.

This is the most annoying part of the Generative Extend new feature. An error message.... Adobe, give me a solution so I can use your new feature! I only get annoyed and simply don't use it because it's not compatible with anything but my iPhone.

How about an AI feature that can resize my videos to the size required to use your AI feature?
