How do I change the default apostrophe from curved to straight?

Hi all. Having a hard time with some small things. Can someone instruct me on how to change the apostrophe displayed from curved to straight in captions? I've tried a few fonts but it seems to be some setting I am missing. In the delivery system I am using the curved fonts show up as illegal charachters when curved. See the screenshot below.
