How do I rebuild my mogrt database?

Explorer ,
May 23, 2024 May 23, 2024

I was working on a project and got a warning there was an error and Premiere pro had to shut down.  When I reloaded, all my preferences were reset and I had to impoer them from another drive I had stored.  Now when I search for a mogrt nothing is found.   Is there a way I can regenerate a new data base? Also where is this stored?

Thank you.,

Hi there!

It sounds frustrating to have your preferences reset. If you saved your Motion Graphics templates to your local templates folder, you can find them here:

  • Mac: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Motion Graphics Templates
  • Windows: \Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Motion Graphics Templates

To avoid this issue in the future, I recommend saving your templates to a Creative Cloud Library. This way, you'll have a backup in the cloud and can easily access them from any device.

Hope this helps!

No I am talking about the data base that is used so when I do a serach for a call out, the callouts are shown.  It's not working and I want to rebuild it.  That is why I asked where they store the data base for my mogrts.

Hello,

To import a MOGRT (Motion Graphics Template) file into Adobe Premiere Pro, follow these steps:

  1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro: Make sure you have a project open or create a new one.
  2. Access the Essential Graphics Panel:
    • Go to Window > Essential Graphics to open the Essential Graphics panel if it's not already open.
  3. Import the MOGRT File:
    • In the Essential Graphics panel, click on the Browse tab.
    • At the bottom right of the panel, click on the + icon to import a MOGRT file.
    • Navigate to the location of your MOGRT file, select it, and click Open.
  4. Find and Use the MOGRT File:
    • Once imported, the MOGRT template will appear in the Essential Graphics panel under the Browse tab.
    • Drag the MOGRT template from the Essential Graphics panel to the timeline where you want to use it.
  5. Customize the MOGRT:
    • With the MOGRT on the timeline, select it.
    • Go to the Edit tab in the Essential Graphics panel to customize the text, colors, and other parameters available for the MOGRT.

Hello Tony, As I Knowy, Adobe Premiere Pro doesn't have a user-accessible database for MOGRT files in the traditional sense.

So if you're experiencing issues with MOGRT files not showing up in Premiere Pro's Essential Graphics panel, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

  1. Check File Locations: Ensure that your MOGRT files are stored in the correct folders where Premiere Pro expects to find them. You can typically find these folders by navigating to the Adobe Premiere Pro installation directory or within your Documents folder.
  2. Refresh Graphics Cache: Sometimes, Premiere Pro's graphics cache may need to be refreshed to display newly added or updated MOGRT files. You can do this by going to Edit > Preferences > Media Cache and clicking on the "Clean" button to clear the cache.
  3. Restart Premiere Pro: Sometimes, simply restarting Premiere Pro can resolve issues with missing or inaccessible MOGRT files.
  4. Reimport MOGRT Files: If all else fails, try reimporting your MOGRT files into Premiere Pro. Use the steps mentioned earlier to import MOGRT files into the Essential Graphics panel.

This is not what I am saying.  When I open the essential , the MOGRTS comup after a few seconds.  I clearly stated when I use the search for a MOGRT using for example like "lower 3rd" or "lower third" nothing comes up and I have used o it before. It says No matching search criteria.  That is what is not working and i ffound them before like that. I had to copy my desktops ovver etc to get them the way I like it wich is the classic way. So I have to uise on that was saved from an earlier PPRO to keep it. lol   There is no clean button.  only delete.

I also changed the directory to a fast drive just for caching.

Hi! I'm Annika, a Quality Engineer on the Mogrts team. So first let's clarify what you mean with your database is missing. Could you post a screenshot?

Hi. Basicly I had an exeption error and PPro had to restart.  WHen I opened up my project my saved desktop gone back to the latest default. I like the old school layout. So I load a project file that was originaly created in the last version before the layout was changed by default.  So basicly I copied the directory like profile etc in that sub directory to get things back where I had a prevkouse install.  So when I use the searrch function like say title or call out I get No matching search criteria. Yes these worked before and the MOGERTs display a few seconds after the essential graphics is open.. What ever is being used to search for the keywords is not working anymore.

Let's see ... you copied some of the folder information from a previous install of Premiere, and can't see your mogrts listed in what you copied?

I would guess that what you are missing is because you didn't get everything. Admittedly, they park things in (to me) way too many places around the computer, but that's What Is.

And your process for migrating a project is as far as I can tell, about as designed to create problems as any other way that could be devised.

I think this might be an inadvertant user miscue.

Hwllo,

No. When I "SEARCH" for a mogrt keyword like lower3rd or just lower  or anything the search, results show not found but it's there when you s roll down. The search is what is not working so I am trying how to fix the search for the way Adobe does a search  of its a data base or something.
