I set up my video camera far enough away from the stage and zoomed in to catch the main part of the stage. I set the db correctly and it recorded the sound. The video and the sound came out fantastic.
HOWEVER>>>My camera decided to produce 4 different files of the footage. How do I splice them together to make one file?
Also, my video camera came with an HDMI cable. Standard size on one end for the PC and a smalller size one on the other end for the camera. I have been trying to figure out what this is for or how it works. The manual does not even mention it.
I have also been wondering how to create an AVI file....
Thats about all I got...I'll check back later to see if anybody answered.
Mod note: I changed the title to reflect your top issue.

Hi,
Hope to help you on your music video project. Welcome.
My camera decided to produce 4 different files of the footage. How do I splice them together to make one file?
Sounds like a "spanned file." Start over. Copy the folders from your camera to your hard drive on your computer. Launch Premiere Pro and find the "Media Browser" panel. Go to Window > Media Browser and browse to the folder containing your media on your hard drive. Right click on the folder in the Media Browser. Choose > Import. The clip should be imported as a single file. Did it work? If my instructions do not work, you can import the 4 separate files and join them in the Timeline.

I would explore a few different things with the cable and connection. It sounds like you can connect a video monitor (TV) to your camcorder. Nice. You can connect it as you shoot, you can connect it to a separate recording device too, like an Atomos Ninja. That way, you can record ProRes on site. You can also use it to review footage on a large TV screen once you return from the shoot.

It's a PC only option that should still be there. Choose AVI as an export option from the Format dropdown menu in the Export Settings dialog when you have decided to export. Come back with questions if you are having trouble getting that export going.

Kevin
