Hi all.
I've created a 1080:1080 sequence where I uploaded a bunch of 1920:1080 videos. I scaled and moved them around. Obviously, the parts of these clips stayed outside the viewable 1:1 area.
Now I need to crop the clips, and I would like to use percentages for that, because I need very precise crops of this 1:1 area. But when I do this, the program counts percentages from the borders of the clip that stay outside of the 1:1 frame, and what I need is for it to crop the visible frame.
Apparently, the problem is that the effect relies on the borders of the video from the Motion tab. Is there a way to let program forget about the infromation that stays out of frame, and base its calculations on what is in it? In other words, is there a way to set the video frame in the Motion tab to the frame of the sequence?
Thank you.

You could try nesting the clip and adding the crop to the nest.

Why do you want to crop an image with the edges not visible anyway?
