Hello,

I an trying to add a black border around a video clip in portrait orientation, so that the project can be in landscape orientation without any of the video in portrait being cut off. I have tried changing the aspect ratio of the clip in portrait but it cuts off most of the video. How can I have the entire project in landscape with the portrait clip still intact?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Make a sequence in landscape, 1920x1080 for HD. Add your portrait clip and use the scale function in the effects control panel to make it fit
