How to adjust the alpha channel?

I bought a video clip with an alpha channel. It works fairly well, except there is a bit unwanted greyish fringe at the bottom. Is there an effect that can adjust the alpha channel clip the way that I can adjust a keyed clip with the ulta key?

Contact vendor and let him/her fix that.

Nothing other than keying it or masking it.

Of course, you can do it yourself, but when buying assets it should be perfect.

I think there is a way to render out an alpha channel as a seperate file which you'd then be able to manually clean up.  You can certainly do it in after effects...  (I think).    I seem to remember doing this at some point, but can't remember how.   Or maybe this was just when you'd applied a key to a green screen clip.  sucks getting old.

The 'matte' tools to do this don't come with Premiere Pro, though there are third party plugins from various makers.

You can 'fix' mattes in After Effects as suggested with masking.

However After Effects also has some matte tools that allow contracting/softening an existing matte that might be useful. "matte choker' and 'simple choker' in After Effects are a good place to start. And you see almost immediately if this is an easy fix.

You would still likely need to do some masking so as to only affect your problem area, but it is doable.

Still, it's worthwhile contacting the creator for a fix. You paid for it and they have the original assests to do a proper fix.
