How to adjust the speed of a clip between two markers without cutting the clip?

At present, I'm laying my markers, cutting then using the Rate Stretch Tool or Speed Duration dropdown to adjust the time. I was hoping I could skip the cutting set by just adjusting the time between the two markers I lay down. Is this possilbe?
