How to copy the project's file path (not a clip path) within Premiere Pro?

I want to copy the project name (or file name) with the full path as plain text to the clipboard. I am keeping a spreadsheet of the file names and sequence names, but getting the filenames out of PPro seems hard. I can -see- it all over the place, like in very small text at the top of the project window like "/Users/jane/MyProject.prproj", but I can't copy the name from a tool tip, for example.

Or another strategy, to access PP's list of recent files, in some selectable way.

Thanks for any ideas.

I dug in vain to find a clickable/copyable full-path text string anywhere (I now feel your pain)...BUT...

If you take these files out to the final stage of running them through Adobe Media Encoder, you can go into the AME interface after some work is done, and hit CMD-L (this assumes Mac; there's probably a Windows equivalent) which will give you a plain-text LOG file of what happened during the encode process. And it includes full path names (yaay)!!

    Example:

    - Source File: /Users/janedoe/video/Promo Video.prproj

    - Output File: /Volumes/NetworkShare/Client/Promo Video.mp4

It's not the ultimate solution, but if you were working with a batch of files for output, you could copy and paste filenames from this log.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks Buck! I didn't know about the log and it could be useful in future.

My error-prone current solution is to just type in the long-a** file paths, that are displayed in pale gray, 4pt type at the top of the project window. It's very easy for me to mis-type something, and then of course it doesn't open when I paste "open [clipboard contents]" into a Terminal window. But I guess that's how it is. [wrily]

    I like/use this .99 app:

CopyPath on the Mac App Store

You just select the file you want to get the path for and CopyPath will copy the path to the clipboard.
