so i have a video file that is in .mp4 in 1920x1080 60FPS @ 37864kbps  and i want to add a lossless audio file .wav but i can't seem to find a .mp4 format that has all that i need?

if i use the h.264 blu-ray preset then i get PCM uncompressed audio but it wont go higher that 30 fps.

i could use .avi uncompressed but the size got to 67GB and the program im uploading to doesn't support .avi it only supports .mp4.

is it possible to have the stats im requesting for in a .mp4 format?

4.4K

1080p60 is not a Blu-ray-legal format, that is why there are no encode options. Though you can use PCM (.wav) audio on a Blu-ray, Media Encoder is actually putting out separate files of .m4v video and .wav audio, and Encore marries them together on the Blu-ray disc. Yes, there is a MultiPlex option for audio, however checking that option immediately switches the PCM audio over to Dolby, so no you cannot output a single .mp4 with PCM audio inside it.

I just did numerous Google searches and the general consensus it that PCM audio cannot be used inside an .mp4 from what I can find. Might be possible with some sort of hack of the codec and special software to accomplish it, but PCM in an .mp4 is definitely not mainstream.

Why must the audio be uncompressed?

Thanks

Jeff

Yeah, I can understand that, but Dolby at a high bitrate sounds darn good as well. I guess the MPEG developers were thinking that the idea behind MP4 is small file size for delivery, so uncompressed content maybe defeats the purpose 😉

Thanks

Jeff
