How to merge multiple audio tracks into one?

I have spliced together some audio from 6 separate clips to correspond with some video. It looks and sounds great together. i'm really happy with the results.

However, now I have 6 tracks underneath 1 video clip. I'd love to merge all of these 6 tracks into 1, then link that audio to the video file.

How can I merge these audio files together? thanks!

Once you're happy with the mix, export the 6 audio tracks as an audio file.  Re-import it and replace the original tracks.

Nesting.  Copy/Paste the audio clips to a new sequence, add that sequence under the video.

This is a non-destructive solution.  You can always access the original audio for changes.

Problem with nesting is that any video under the original is also processed in the render ?

I don't understand the question.

does searching for info on 'nested' audio and video give you any ideas ??

I did that search myself, and unfortunately it looks like your only really decent option is the audition route...
