How to put video into font.

Hey all, 

I recently watched a skate video and for the title of the video, the creator put clips that they had recorded into the font which appeared on the video. I thought it was really neat and creative, something I had never seen before.

I was wondering if anyone could offer advice on how to complete this effect.

I prefer the Properties panel as you can animate text and clip independently without nesting.
