Question

how to sort clips by shot date (multiple camera)

Hello,

I have a project shot with two camera's and I want to sort all the clips by shot date.

My Sony NEX 5T recorded only the 'Shot Date'. But my GoPro only recorded the 'Creation Date' in a different metadata column (See screenshot below.)

They even use a different format.

How do I sort these clips by date recorded? Can I move one column to another in the metadata and convert the date to the right format?

Any ideas?

Kobekes,

Shot date and Creation Date appears to be different metadata. First time I've seen this. I have a feeling that the GoPro camera does not generate Creation Date metadata that other camcorders might. I think the only possibilities are Go Pro camera settings, use a third party app to change the metadata or you can copy/paste metadata from one column to another.

I've not tried it, so check this shareware app that supposedly allows you to change GoPro shot date metadata.

Thanks,
Kevin

Yo won't be able to.  You can only sort by one column.

Can I add/edit the metadata columns in Adobe Prelude?

I've not used Prelude in a couple years.  Give it a try.
