How to stop Essential Sound Panel from opening when remix tool is used?

Hello,

Every time I use the Remix tool (an amazing tool!) by clicking on the end of a music clip, Premiere opens the Essential Sound Panel which throws off my whole panel arrangement. I then have to close it, then readjust all my panels as they were. This happens every time I use the Remix tool and it is just annoying and takes up time. (I'm not even sure why anyone would want that panel open after using the remix tool, but that is another question, and it seems like you should have the choice.) Is this normal behavior? Is there a way to change it? (Using version 22.5 (build 62))

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

This is the same for me too. It seems remix is part of essential sound, which is why the panel opens.

Richard is correct ... the controls for Remix are in the ESP, and therefore ... the ESP opens when you apply Remix.

If you use the Audio workspace, then ... this is not adding an 'extra' panel to the screen. Which I have an audio workspace setup as I so often use ducking, which is also run through controls in the ESP.

My solution was to add the Essential sound panel as a tab to another panel, thus keeping it "hidden".

Legendary! Thanks for this tip. Has saved me. Have constant problems with the Essential Sounds and Essential Graphics panels opening unwantedly, and throwing the panels in my non-audio / non-graphics workspaces into disarray. Now an accidentaly double click in the wrong place simply opens that tab in an existing panel, instead of rearranging the panels themselves.
