I am using Mac os and I have a problem of encoding with h264.

The color of final video that I encoded with h264 is different as the video I exported from Adobe premiere cc.

I heard that x264 is the best solution to solve this. So, I want to install it.

I downloaded x264 via link below.

https://www.videolan.org/developers/x264.html

I can only find dms format file, and I don’t know how to install this on Adobe premeire.

Could you advise me?

Thank you.

Never used this codec but have you tried playing the output in VLC player?

I'm hoping that you are using QuickTime which has known Gamma limitations so try this:

Yes it when I watch the video via VLC, it looks similar as the one when I watch premiere.

But the problem is that it ruins color when I upload on youtube.

So I want to try x264 encoder on Adobe premier. But I cant find how to install this codec.

Is it impossible to install this file on Adobe premiere?

Not sure whether this will work as it is from Oct 2018.

Check if "Enable Display Color Management"  is turned on or not. You will find it in Premiere Pro>Preferences>General.

Also, what happens when you directly upload it from Premiere Pro to Youtube?

What are the export settings used here?
