Import Question

I exported a sequence from my timeline to my desktop as an mp4 file.

When trying to import that file from my desktop, it doesn't even show up as being there. However, it is there when I just view my desktop - and it plays fine.

What am I missing?

I'm trying to import the file into the same project that I exported from.

Dont use desktop use a dedicated folder.

Thank you for your replies. The file is now showing as available from the desktop after I closed/reopened PP.

Perhaps try dragging the mp4 from your desktop in to the Project Panel in Premiere.
