Hello

I am pretty new into Adobe Premier. I want to create a highlight video from my vacations. Unfortunately, when I import a video (recorded with my Galaxy S23, HEVC, HDR, 4k) the preview looks very grey and washed out. There should be a blue sky in the back. When I open the vidoe with VLC Player it looks correct.

I already tried to install the HEVC video codec (Microsoft Store) on my computer and to generete a proxy video. Both without any improvement.

Has anyone made the same experience and knows how to fix this? I use Adobe Premier Pro 2024 (v24.2.1 Build 2) on Windows 11.

Thanks a lot!

Thank you so much!

After enabling "Auto Tone Media" in the sequence settings the exported video was finally fine!

Color management is something we all have to learn to use. And it's all about coordinating things to get the hoped for result.

Auto detect log and auto tonemapping are interactive. Both should be on for most uses.

And the sequence CM and export preset also need to match. Don't use HLG or PQ presets with Rec.709 sequences and vice versa.
