Importing MP4 files into Premiere Pro 2 (As in CS2 Generation)

I've been using CS2 for a while, and finally found a good deal on Premiere Pro 2.0. However, I do not know how to update it or import MP4 files. I also am needing some video tutorials, but there seem to be none.

Is CS2 from a disk set? If so you wont be able to update it and you'll need to subscribe to a Creative Cloud Account. It may not accept the MP4 files also without a newer software.

Found a good deal? CS2 came out in 2005. This is 15 year old software. It is no longer sold. Where, pray tell, did you find this "deal?"

BBCS,

Very sorry for the frustration. CS2 is, what, 15 years old now? Nothing but certain .mov (on macOS) or .wmv wrapped files files (Windows) will import to my knowledge. .mp4 wrapped files were not supported at the time. You might search YouTube for tutorials, sorry that we no longer carry info on this legacy software. I would recommend an update to a minimum of CS6 if you do not wish to get Creative Cloud. That will work much better for you, I think.

Regards,
Kevin
