Howdy, I'm using Premiere 14.6 and when I import a sequence, I am getting the clips and not the nested sequence. Is there a setting I'm missing? I tried using all the modifier buttons on the keyboard to no avaial. It's a small thing, but a big thing as well. HELP! Video of what I'm seeing is attached.

There's an icon that looks like a sequence icon, it's on the top of the timeline panel contol header block. Those icons are blue (active) or gray (inactive). Click it ... and now when you bring a sequence onto that sequence, it will come in as a nest.

Because sometimes you want another sequence as a nest, and sometimes ... you don't.

I'm having the same problem with v25.1.0 (Build 73), and the nesting icon does nothing. On or off, sequences dragged to my main timeline are still coming in as their separate pieces. (Already rebooted, checked for updates, etc.) Any other ideas?

Close, hold Shift down on launch of Premiere, and select the option to dump all cache files. See if that helps. Also ... in a new project, does this happen?

Past that, I think there's some option in the Preferences about this sort of thing also. But I'm not at the computer at the moment so I can't guarantee.

Bad news was that yes, it did it with new projects. Good news is dumping the cache fixed it. THANK YOU!!!
