Bonjour colleagues,

Is it possible to change the background color of the source monitor in Premiere Pro?

Some Background information (pun intended): I edit a lot of static illustrations in Premiere. Those illustrations are usually supplied to me as black-on-transparent-png's with numbered and descriptive file names (e.g.: "13.04 apple.png"). When I double-click those images I want them to be shown in the source monitor (, which they are, but black on a black background) so I know what the illustration looks like.

Anyway, is there a way to change the color of the background color of the source monitor to white, grey, yellow or even 'grey and white checkers' that are used in Photoshop? It would save me a lot of time not having to drag them in a sequence every time.

Thanks!

You cannot change the UI other than what is offered in the Preferences.

As for the SM itself you can change the black background to transparency grid (see wrench).
