I have zero intentions of ever using the Generative Extend feature in Premiere Pro for any of my projects, so it would be nice if there was a way to remove that option from my toolbar completely.

I was poking around, and it doesn't look like you can turn off the feature. Preferences have a place for "AI Models" but it doesn't have toggles, looks to be just a info screen; It doesn't even look like you can remove the icon itself like you can for the icons under the program window....

@antonioa89540766 There is not a way to do this. I encourage you to make a feature request in the Ideas section of this forum.

This is absolutely dreadful.

I find this fascinating ... there's a ton of options in Premiere I've never used or used rarely, and it never occurred to me to ask that simply because *I* don't use it, it should not be on a menu.
So what other things would you like to remove? And why? Just curious, as I find these discussions so fascinating. Every one of us is so different from another ...

I apologize if I misunderstand your comment, however we are not asking for the feature to be removed.
There is currently no way to toggle the feature on and off, which is the primary issue especially as it makes 1+ gb save files in addition to your premiere pro save file.
The topic of removing the feature from the menu is because the menu in question is meant to be able to allow adjustment of the features; in this case the AI feature is in the menu with no ability to adjust or toggle on and off, it simply states the feature is there.

@Steamturtle Can you provide a bit more info about the save file issue? Generative Extend will create small (a few MB) files for each clip you use it on but it shouldn't be doing anything beyond that.

Fergus
