Is there a way to replace an audio only file with matching video + audio file?
Whilst filming, I was given an audio file of an interviewee from my DoP, and I started pulling selects onto a timeline just to make sure we had the right soundbites. I’ve now got a synced video file (same length, same content), and I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way in Premiere to replace the audio-only clips with this new video/audio file so the video appears on the timeline without manually re-cutting everything.
When I try right-click then replace footage, the clip updates to show the audio/video icon in the project panel, but only the audio shows up in the timeline.. no video appears. Is there a way to get the video portion onto the timeline from those already-edited audio clips? Any help/advice greatly appreciated!
