I installed gmetrix for school and after deleting when i was done it still shows up whenever i tab out of premiere pro which makes it quite annoying to add files is thier any way to completely remove it from premiere
Hi, I had the same problem for a few months now too.
The extension showing up each time I tab out of PR is really annoying, but I luckily just found a fix!
Try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYu-6csLTng
The Official Gmetrix channel recently made a video on how to completely remove the application from your computer. Long overdue, but I'm grateful! It worked for me!
hi there,
thanks for reaching out. You know, all I did after I downloaded that ZXP installer, was open it, and immediately it showed me a dialog box with a couple of programs to uninstall, one of which was that GMetrix one. All I had to do was click on it, and it uninstalled it.
Hope that helps!

If you install a program and you dont want it anymore you un-install. Not just delete.
Might need to use crap cleaner or something simular.
Premiere does not do anything with gmetrix.

This worked for me on Mac
Use this plugin/Extension manager
https://aescripts.com/learn/zxp-installer/
In the direct installation menu, you'll be able to select it and hit uninstall.
It's not shown here because I've already removed it.
Good luck.

Hello, Paul. I am getting the GMetrix pop up box in InDesign, too! I just downloaded the ZXP Installer, but now I find I haven't any idea how to use it. Can you give me a couple of instructions to get started? Thank you so much.

Hello friends, I have an update on how I removed Gmetrix. After opening and searching every corner of my PC, and downloading ZXP without any response, I found my solution. My route in After Effects was:
Edit > Preferences > Startup and Repair > Reveal Preferences in Explorer, then to AppData > Roaming > Adobe, and in the search bar, I typed the word "LITA." There, I found the folder that had been driving me crazy for days... and I deleted it.

I've done all of the above things, gmetrix now pops up when clicking into Premiere Pro saying file not found...

After quick clean up and emptying bin, it actually works now. Only after removing Lita files, brilliant.

This worked for Mac Sonoma 14.2.1 and Photoshop 2025:
HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/ -delete all GMetrix folders and files
**Make sure you are in the system folder and not the user/library**
If you are not sure you are in the system folder go to the finder window. Then go to the "View" menu and select "Show Path Bar", at the bottom of the finder winder you should see the folders path. From there you can click on "Macintosh HD" to start with the system folder.
