Issue with keyboard shortcuts

Since upgrading to 2017 I've been having an issue with a few things. The most annoying one is that whenever I open a project it loads the default Premiere keyboard shortcuts and not my own. I manually copied my shortcuts file to the correct folder. I see it in Premiere and it loads fine, but I have to go an load my keyboard every time I launch Premiere. I even tried saving it as a new name and it still loads only the default keyboard upon launching Premiere.

The second issue I feel like might be tied to this one is that I never see my recent projects when launching Premiere. It shows the "Your recent work will appear here" but it never shows any of my recent projects. Anyone ever experience this issue?

In Edit/Preferences, do you have "Show Start Screen" showing here?

As to the keyboard shorts setup, that's a puzzler. If you've saved yours in the Keyboard Shorts panel, and the program always defaults to the default ... that's odd. Hope someone has an idea!

Other than the old start the program while holding the Ctrl/Shift keys down (I think that's the combo) to dump the preferences file, then go into the Keyboard shorts panel and select your saved setup, would that then "stick"?

Wonder why you had to manually copy your shortcuts into 2017.?

Mine got brought across with the 2017 update ( and all other updates previously) but were not the default in 2017.

I just selected mine from the Menu and they have stuck.  As I would expect..

Yea. I tried to sync via my cc account and they showed up, but they don't stay after restarting Premiere. I had a modified keyboard layout from work I wanted to use at home which is why I was attempting to copy manually. Neither the syncing option or the manual copying option has worked though.

As far as the recents window I do have it setup to show the start screen. It opens and says "Your recent work will appear here", but they never do.

I'm starting to think this might be a permissions issue. I'm going to try running a permissions repair on my home system. If that doesn't work I'll be doing a full re-install of Adobe 2017.

I also had an issue with updating Speedgrade and Lightroom from 2015 to 2017. They get to 50% then give me the following error:

Update Failed

Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press Retry to download again.

When I try to re-download it gives me the same error. Not sure if thats part of the same issue or not though.

Ran a full uninstall, deleted the Adobe folder in my Documents folder, used the CC Cleaner Tool, then reinstalled Premiere and now it is showing recent projects and keeping my keyboard as default. Must have just been a glitch in the install.

That can happen. Sadly, more than one would like. It tends to be a fairly short task thankfully.
