Hello, I want to italicize two words in a sentence but by selecting my two words and italics, the whole sentence is concerned. Any idea, please ?

What Ann suggests should work. Can you try creating some new titles to see if the problem persists?

It works on a text layer but not with subtitles created with the automatic text tool.

i'm having a similar issue. i createda captions track and did the subtitles using the Captions and when i try and italicize only. a word or two it will do the entire line.  is there any solutions to this issue?

only if i use legacy titling i can italicize partial subs, but i've already done my whole film using captions. thx

Marco,

See my  post earlier in this thread regarding adding italics in the Program Monitor:

My guess is that you are editing in the Text Panel. And yes, it applies italics to the whole caption segment.

Use the Program Monitor/Essential Graphics Panel. Select just the part you want and italicize that.
