Hey,
I'm editing on Premiere Pro 2021.
I have a project of some 100 hours and each time I open the project it begins to load more than 10.000 files of what I believe to be media cache files. It's shown in the lower left corner where it tells me which file and a progress bar in the buttom right with the progress. It's refering to the location of the video files on an external drive that I'm editing: "Loaded:DRIVE NAME/FILE PATH"
At first I thought it was generating the media cache again dure to a bug, but it might be that it just loads the files everytime I start the project? Can someone explain me what is happening or if this is a bug?
If this is normal procedure is there a way to make premiere pro only load the needed cache files for the sequences I open?
I'm on a computer where this procedure is felt so hopefully somebody can help me out.
Thanks, Anders
