Known issue: Crash when using text styles in Essential Graphics panel

We are aware of an issue affecting some users in Premiere Pro version 24.2.  A crash may be experienced when accessing or using text styles in Essential Graphics.  Here are some of the errors being reported by customers:

 

  1. Crashes when trying to drag a text style saved in the bin to the timeline
  2. Crash dialog appears after trying to save a text style
  3. An error occurs when moving between files when multiple projects are open

 

While we track down the source of this crash, we have decided to pull the 24.2 release from the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

 

This issue is only known to affect Premiere Pro.

Hello,

Have been working in Premier Pro (Beta) 24.3 and all of a sudden it keeps crashing on me. It was previously crashing everytime I was trying to blur, and now it is crashing when I am doing a simple playback to check content. 

Wondering if there is a workaround to avoid this crash (did it 4 times this morning then has run great until just now and has crashed 5 times this afternoon).

The Beta version crash issue reported here was unrelated to the "Known Issue" crash that is the subject of this thread. Beta 24.3.0 Build 33 introduced an error that was fixed with Build 36.
