Lag issue with my Videos

New Here ,

Hi,

So when I usually edit my videos for my channel I encounter a big problem which I cannot fix.

That is when I would play a clip it would originally start smooth then it would lag at a certain point and then would go smooth again. I tried multiple ways (including updating drivers) nothing worked. Even when I would export the video that same problem would re-appear where that specific point would again lag. I attached a video as a example of how it runs smoothly and then lags. I also attached a video of the exported video lagging. I would really appreciate if someone would be able to help!

Hi, @Ohannis2486934484ao.

It looks like you are edting screen recordings of gaming.  Most likely, your source footage is both Long-GOP and Variable Frame Rate (VFR) and that can cause performance issues, especially in longer Timelines.

I'd try to transcode a few of your source clips using Shutter Encoder (donationware).  The pop-up list is organized by how video formats get used.  Whle you can pick almost anyting in the "Editing codecs" section, I'd go with Apple ProRes 422 LT.  If you're real
