Linear wipe make the screen go black

When I add linear wipe to the upper clip then add key frames 0 at the start and 100 at the end it make the upper clip goes black 

and there will be no transition even.

I don't have the rules or guides tool in the edit button. 

Plz help me

having the same issue, im using linear wipe as a transition for streaming and last night it worked perfectly, however tonight i can use it to lead into the video but once i use it at the end of the video it just makes the whole thing go black for the entire clip. i did the same exact thing as the beginning of the video just backwards, not sure why its not working only one way

I know it's in a transitions folder but it's actually under the main heading Video Effects, it's a one sided thing. It goes from black to your video, if you want to use it on heads then it's 0 to 100 for your keyframes and to wipe to black it 100 to 0 at  tails. 

 

Try looking in the Video Transitions main folder for an effect if you want to use it for a transition. I like the Slide and Push transitons under Video Transitions\Slide\Push (or Slide).
