Hi,
I have to log a lot of footage in premiere pro which means to add markers with comments.
Is it possible to do this with keyboard shortcuts without interrupting playback?
I can press the M button an click with the mouse on the comments section, then the playback doesn't stop but I have to use the mouse.
The other way would be to stop playback, type m and the shortcut to edit the marker - but the playback then stops.
Is there any way to have both - using only the keyboard while playback keeps going?
Thanks for your help!!!

If you have access to Prelude you can set marker templates which enables you to one-click annotate.

Thanks! So it is not possible to log in real time using the keyboard in premiere?

I tried prelude and it seems to me that it can only play one clip - then I have to click on the next to play it. Is there any way to play all clips one after the other so I don't have to stop inbetween? It's strange that adobe has no option for easy live logging..

Create a rough cut sequence in prelude. This can be ported to Premiere afterwards

Thanks for your help Kib. But as soon as I create a rough cut, I can not use the shortcuts to create markers any more. It seems to work only clip by clip.

I would guess this is neither possible, nor desirable.
You never know what you'd miss while typing the comments, so it makes sense for playback to stop while typing.
