Lumetri Color Applied to Source but does not show in Preview of Sequence... won't render?

I put the lumetri color effect on my source files and applied a LUT ....

It looks great in preview of source.... for me...

When I add the footage to a timeline... the preview acts like the LUT is not applied... I tried applying the LUT and effect directly in the timeline instead and it just does not work....

any ideas?

Lumetri typically is an effect that you only apply to footage that lives in the timeline.

Judging from your picture, it seems as if you have multiple instances of the same effect active on the clip. This could be the result of applying Lumetri to the source clip and to the one in the timeline.

Please check.

Nope... it is only applied in one place... I have tried deleting it on the source and reapplying it to the individual clip but no success..

Actually the preview window for the source looks fine without any effect applied but no matter what I do.... the footage in the sequence is garbage.... like the color correction is not being applied.

It seems to be ok if I change the sequence settings.

In sequence settings I changed the WORKING COLOR SPACE to Rec. 2100 HLG.  Now it responds more like I would expect.  Lumetri and LUT work too....

The problem you had was using a clip Premiere identified as HLG on a Rec.709/SDR sequence. Then exporting using a standard SDR/Rec.709 preset.

Which is why it worked when used with an HLG export preset. And not with the SDR preset.

To use an HDR clip on an SDR sequence, you need to select the clip/s in the Project panel, then right-click/Modify/Interpret Footage, and set the Override value to Rec.709. Then it will work correctly on a Rec.709 timeline.

Color management 101 within the new controls and behaviors of Premiere we're being given.
