Hi friends.
When applying a LUT in the Lumetri Color window, when I'm scrolling between my LUTs, every time I allow the LUT to apply to the image while using the scroll wheel, the LUT picker goes back to BROWSE. Every time.
I can slide between the titles no problem, but if I actually allow the LUT to apply itself to the image, the next LUT I try to scroll with the scroll wheel will always go back to BROWSE. This makes it incredibly difficult to select the appropriate LUT quickly, or to see how it is applying itself in the preview window.
Honestly this issue makes it almost impossible to do any grading above a basic level in Premiere. I've got hundreds of LUTs for specific things over the years -- and not being able to cycle through them quickly is cumbersome.
Here is a link to the issue: https://vimeo.com/790597970
Please help.

I'll give you an explanation.
There are some folks, like yourself, that love to have and choose between a lot of LUTs. Who would really notice such a change.
And some of us that could build an entire grade in the time taken to look at 3-4 LUTs. So we would almost never use this.
And the majority of users that never use LUTs for this, and only do minimal color work. Who would never use this.
There's just not enough users, doing what you do, that it's been a high enough priority to get dev time.
Just like a lot of the refinements, or changes/additions to the color manipulation tools, that I and a few others want. When I talk to the devs, they're sympathetic. But honest, as they tell me that even though my suggestions would be very good for a few, not enough would use them to make it worth taking dev time from other things more used across the user base.
That said, yes, I and others have been asking for this for years.

I'm also a dev. And I can understand the product management perspective. Maybe there are better time/effort investments for the value of output. I'm not happy but I understand and appreciate the answer. Thank you.

Over many years of Being Adult, I've found many things where it's been useful to understand why something "is", but ... am still frustrated that it is what it is.
Often, as with standards that once had a reason but really don't now ... say the whole transform gamma thing for Rec.709, once needed to adapt flat-screen monitors "into" the CRT monitor workflow ... things that once had a reason don't make sense now. Other than changing them would be a "temporary" pain.
So we live with it, and learn to work with things as "is".
Every once in a while, one of these "little nigglers" does get simply handled. I hope this will be one of them. As the few times I need to do LUT selection, yea, it's a pain.
