Luts not being applied via Export > Media (Not Using Queue)

Hi,

I want to preface by saying that I never encountered this issue before until last night. I had downloaded a couple of luts, placed them in the technical folder, and applied them to an adjustment layer in my video. After, I exported the video and I opened the exported file. I noticed that it was missing the applied Lut. I tried reinstalling Premiere multiple times and deleted the luts from the technical folder based on some solutions I came across here. However, that did not resolve the issue. I tried using other luts and those did not get applied after export as well. When I export I do not use the Queue. I simply click on Export. I'm new to Premiere and video editing so please forgive me if I don't know all of the proper technical terms or steps to editing and exporting.

 

I am using a:

 

27 inch iMac (2019)

3.6GHz 8-core 9th-generation Intel Core I9 Processor

32gb of Ram

2TB Fusion Drive

Here's the chart with the appropriate locations for user created/acquired LUTs ...

For some users, the LUTs folders aren't "there" ... but following that exact folder tree, if there isn't a LUTs folder, create it.

 

Then inside the LUTs folder everyone has to create the Technical folder which will be accessed by the Basic tab's dropdown list, and the Creative folder which will be accessed by the Creative tab's dropdown.

 

As I rarely use any of the included LUTs/Looks, I rename all mine with either a number or letter before the name so they pop up in the order I want ... at the top of each list.

 

With that sort of non-application on export, I would try a new project. And if that doesn't work, then delete all cache/media cache database files ... and it that doesn't clear it ... trash preferences ...

Heydanking,

 

If you apply a LUT in the Lumetri panel and see it in the playback monitors it will be applied on export.

 

The option for LUTs in the Export dialog is different.  That is used for say a color space conversion or similar that must be applied to the export.

I've added my LUTS in PP 14.0 (2020) as per your direction and am able to apply them within the program in the Lumetri > Creative tab as I always have. However, like the original poster, when I export the video and check the "Lumetri Look/Luts" box to apply my LUT, it is not listed, nor can I click "Select" and apply it. This was not an issue in PP 2019. Am I missing something? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Thank you. The issue seemed to have resolved itself when I started a new project. I will try some of your recommendations listed as a precaution and for future use.

      Are you using the package/program folder for Premiere? The Premiere Pro LUTs folder?

       

      That's not recommended as those are by design accessed not by name but by relative place in the folder.

       

      There are specific locations users are to add your own LUTs to the system so that all the video apps see and reference the same ones. The help system have information about that. I'm on my phone or I'd supply the chart myself.

      Originally I beleive that I was , but after reading some things, I deleted those files that I placed in there and reinstalled the program a few times. However, now when I try to use one of the default luts, it does not apply it to the video upon export. I guess when I get home I can try starting a new project from scratch and see if that works but any information to resolve this issue would be helpful.
