Marking In and Out Points - Premiere Pro 2025 (Mac)

I am trying to send a portion of an edit in progress but the out point makes no difference in stopping the video at that spot.  Any way to correct?

If Paul's comment doesn't cover your question ... if you just want playback of the in/out marked segment ... there is a "play in to out" keyboard shortcut available.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

Thank you Neil  I was not aware of the "Range" funtion, as mentioned to Paul, I always used the "Mark In" and "Mark Out" tool as with previous versions.  With this version, the video runs until the very end anyway.

Without more details, it's unclear exactly what you're trying to do, so this may not fully address your question.

If you want to export only the section between your In and Out points in a sequence or clip, make sure to set the Range to Source In/Out in the Export settings.

Thanks Paul: I was Using "Mark In" and "Mark Out" as has been the tool in the past CC versions of Premiere.  Has this option changed?  Cheers, Kenneth Davis

No, nothing has changed - Mark In and Mark Out set your in and out point, but if you want to export that range, you need to set it in the Export settings.

You have not clarified exactly what you're trying to do - are you trying to play or export from your in to out point?

For me it's not quite clear what you are trying to do. See this thread: Info needed for a bug report

This thread makes me think of Variable Frame Rate footage, that could cause an issue similar to this on some in software. Post a screenshot of your clip info using: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

Thanks.  The font sizes look different sizes even when setting to the exact same size font.  Example Arial at a size of 40 looks larker on some posrtions of the video and smaller in others.  I am not allowed to show screenshots as the production is proprietary.
