New Here ,

Hey, i have a simple problem with no solution found yet. I created a mask on an adjustment layer with one video layer below. I Used the effect Blur and wnated to blur out a small sign with numbers on it. Althoug now when i set the masking keyframes everytime i move the mask, the blur effect stays in its postiton althoug the mask moved to another spot. Any explanetion for this problem? I couldnt find anything for this problem so im assuming its a bug. Really annoying.

Yes I have run into this also. My solution would to be to apply the blur and mask to your footage and not an adjustment layer.

I gave this a go and didn't have an issue. Here are my steps to reproduce:

1. Create adjustment layer

2. Create Mask

3. Apply blur effect

4. Animate mask with the mask path property

Worked a treat.

As Graeme said, make sure you animate the mask path and not the transform of the adjustment layer itself.

As Rob suggested why not use Gaussian Blur applied to the clip and mask within the effect. Don't forget if you do it this way you can use the mask path 'tracking' feature inside Guassian Blur to track the sign and automatically have the blur follow any movement in the clip. Often works brilliantly.
