Media cache saves to wrong folder (refuses to update)

I have a rather small systems drive (250gb) so I need to store my media cache files on a different drive. I've changed the settings in Premiere, but the cache files are still being stored in the default location, even after a restart.

Media Cache of course is a Preferences.

premiere need read write permissions

On a Mac :

1.  Open your terminal window

2.  cd $HOME/Library/Preferences/Adobe

3.  sudo chmod -R g+w "Premiere Pro/"
