This has been an issue on and off for a while but now nothing works to fix the issue. I cannot do a voice over. When I select my microphone I get MME device internal error. I read in for the forum to switch to no input which worked the first time I got the error but now it does not.
The record button is grayed out and I cannot do a voice over. I read in the forum to add a new track and make in mono. It worked when I first time I got the error but now the record button is grayed out even with mono settings.
I thought it might be my microphone headset so I just went and bought a Yeti which has all the options including stereo but no setting works, I get the same MME device internal error and adding tracks at any setting does not work.
I checked if I could download an MME driver but it is not available for Windows 10?
I have 11 videos to create and have wasted 2 days trying to fix the problem. Why do I keep having this problem with what is supposed to be the best video edit software on the market?
Any other suggestions on how I can make this work? I need to get these videos finished.
Thank you I did find the answer that worked at Audition forum https://forums.adobe.com/message/10409978#10409978
Go to setting/privacy settings/microphone
look at the setting that allows apps to access the microphone, if disabled set to "on"
(Disabling this setting apparently makes all audio inputs invisible to apps)

Giving this a 'bump'. I know how frustrating it would be.
I'm currently using a Rode shotgun mic on a stand, plugged into the computer's front mic input, and it just works. I had a Rode StereoVideoMic that I used before, and it just worked.
But this voice-over complaint is something that affects clearly a number of people. It would be nice if they got the PrPro sound stuff sorted some better, but I'm hoping someone can come on with an idea to help you. I only know that USB mics are tending to be more problematic than mics using the standard mic input jacks.
You also might want to post on the Audition forum, most of the folks over there are very familiar with the interface between both PrPro and Audition to user settings ... maybe someone there can answer your question.

Same issue. All Apps are enabled and premiere is enabled. Still did not help.
