Hi all,

I'm having a very annoying and regular bug. As follows;

  • I run 3 monitors via display port from my Nvidia Quadro 4000 card. This is a windows 10 system, i7-6900K, 64 gb ram, 64bit. All monitors are HD
  • I have a set workspace saved to my preferences in PP - playback monitor left, timeline/viewer/copes etc middle, and project (bins files) right.
  • Each day I load PP and for some strange reason my playback screen is reassigned to another monitor. It's quite random and can be any of the 3. There would appear to be no rhyme or reason for it.
  • I have to enter this screen to change it, everyday!!

I'm not updating PP at this stage as I'm in the middle of a large project and I've been stung by buggy update and compatibility before. I think there's a bug between the operating system and PP understanding which monitor number is assigned to which number. It would appear that PP when it loads just decides which number it's going to give to each monitor that day, rather than keep with the assigned numbers the Nvidia software as given each.

Anyone had experience of this? Any fixes?

Thanks

Update...

This is an example of the problem. This morning I loaded PP and the software has reassigned the monitor numbers. If you compare with the screen shot from yesterday it's changed positions. My 1900 x 1200 monitor was number 1 yesterday and is now number 3. By doing this it's shifted my playback screen from the left screen to the right screen.

This has happened overnight with the machine being simply shutdown and turned on again.

It's annoying and odd.

Anyone?
