Hello, I'm having trouble with imported MTS files in premiere pro 2025 Build 61. After importing the file, I notice that the audio is out of sync. This only happens in PP. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try to close Premiere Pro and then press down the Shift-key while launching Premiere Pro again. Make sure to check Clear media cache files in the Reset options dialog that pops up. When done, click on Continue and open the project with the MTS file.

When you open the project, wait until all files have been conformed until you do anything in Premiere Pro. See the blue status bar in the low right part of the UI. If you start to edit/playback files when the conforming is in progress the audio do get out of sync sometimes.

Clearing the media cache did not work for me. The source MTS files are in sync, my cache has been cleared, I reimported the clips, but the sync is still way off. Any other ideas? I don't want to have to resync the footage, especially since the clips are supposed to be continuous, and re syncing will cause gaps.

Try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
