Question

multi-cam playback - view sequence (and switch between cameras) frame by frame.

Hello all,

I am working on a project which requires me to regularly (every 20 seconds-ish) switch between two clips. I set up multi-cam, thinking this was the most efficient way.

It is however, a very detailed project which requires me viewing and switching between the footage frame-by-frame. I've found that I can only cut between cameras when the footage is playing. This playback is far too quick for me to actually see where the cut needs to be.

I thought that I would be able to use the arrow keys (and have tried K & L) to move frame by frame - then switch the cameras by hitting the number keys. However, doing it this way only allows me to toggle between cameras, and doesn't make a cut. I hope that makes sense.

Any advice? Am I missing something really obvious? The only way I can think at the minute is to change the playback speed to 1%. This isn't great though, and honestly the work is so detailed I might even miss the cues then.

Thanks in advance!

Just realised that slowing it down to 1% wont work. I need the cut to be exactly between two frames, & slowing the footage down turns one frame into multiple ones - meaning the cut won't be exact when I restore the original speed. Hmmm....
