In the latest version of Premiere (24.0.3) I came across this. The workaround is clicking on the nest, then un-nesting it, but then those clips aren't linked selected with their audio. I reverted back a version and it works again. The "insert or overwrite clips as nests or individual clips" button is selected.

24.1 is the current version of Premiere.
If the button is selected, the nest will stay as a nest.
For individual clips, you need to uncheck the button.

I meant the latest actually...24.1. It doesn't work with the button checked or unchecked.

I'm having the same issue. Being able to move sequences around as "un-nested" after grouping them is a big part of the workflow in documentary filmmaking. The button is now useless.
Work around from video below: laso clips from nested sequence that is opened in timeline and drag them to the sequence you want. Super sloppy and slow. Please fix!

Hi @Dogfood
We've been discussing this at length in a few other threads. I think you will find the information helpful:
@Jane28708435jkl5 Can you explain your workflow a bit more?

It would be great for us to understand how the functionality of Multi-Cam is proving to be limiting and thus requiring you to use Insert or Overwrite clips as Individual Clips from a Multi-Cam Source Sequence.
