Multilayered nest with a transition - the nest doesn't carry over into it with Red Giant

I know this is more of a Red Giant question, but I'm using the Slide transition, and for the duration of the out and the in, any effects applied like Lumetri/layers in a nest disappear.

Anyone had the same, and if so, any solutions ?

The issue doesn't happen with native PP transitions.

Just a way to work around the issue:  why not export the nests and bring the exports back in to use instead of the nests?
