Numbers typed in type tool are not visible

I put the this text in the type tool -  'July 6th 2018'  but the numbers are not appearing in the text box.

Please clarify. Is it a bug? I am inserting the screen-shot.

Curious: any difference if you add the numbers with the main keyboard vs keypad?

I think it may be a bug discussed on the forum somewhere.  Try making the Program Monitor Panel larger by dragging it down.
