Only a portion of audio is importing

I am trying to import an audio file (mp3) into premiere pro, but only the beginning of the audio is importing. For example, I have a 60 second audio file and only the first 5 seconds of it are imported. I have used both of the recent versions of premiere pro, version 24 and version 24.0.3, and I am having the same problem with both versions. I have also cleared the media cache and restarted my computer and that didn't fix it either. How can I get the whole audio file to import?

Is there any way to get the MP3 to work? It was just working last week and now it is not.

Hi,

Try a wav file as a test. It may be related to the container not the codec.
