I am trying to edit the font size, type and such, the caption background opacity and such, but the editing tools are gone. There is a greyed out "type, but that is all. I have tried to reset to saved workspace and nothing happens. I don't want the background of the caption to be opaque. I did find a way to supposedly turn of opacity but it didn't do anything. The last time I worked on a video I could change all kind of things, but not now! Why? What is the work around? This is important to have the control to be able to change the way my closed captioning looks. The opaque color background is covering artwork and completely blocking it out.
Thank you,
Sallyjane Woods
Kevin, thanks for noting this had no response. Sally also posted in two other threads, and she got responses there.
Her caption stream was "open subtitling" (shown in screenshot - and which has no background opacity option) and not open captions.

Sallyjane Woods,
Sorry. I am not seeing this limitation. Please try open captions in a brand new project and see if you have the same results.
Thanks,
Kevin
