Overlay Transparency Not Exporting As Shown In Work Space

Hello - I am trying to use a white overlay with ~80% transparency over a video/photo element in my composition. The desired effect shows properly in my workspace, however it does not seem to translate into the exported file - the white overlay in the rendered video seemingly ends up with a different transparency to where it is completely opaque. I am only getting this when the overlay color is white. I have tried various blend modes for that element, all net the same result. Any ideas for a workaround?

What is the clip color space ... and what is the sequence color space?

Check the clip with Properties in the bin, and the Sequence Settings to see the CM settings for that. I'm wondering if there's a mismatch here.

I wasn't able to duplicate it. I tried 4 different ways to do it based on your pictures. You can try explaining every step so we could try to reproduce. I notice you have two graphics (text and the solid?) instead of just one. I did it both ways and with a video and jpg background.
