Png are appearing black in Premiere?

Since a week, no matter how I export (from animate or from illustrator) the png, when I import them in Premiere, they appear black and I don't understand why.

There's no transparency on them, no alpha channel and they're in RGB color mode... Please help!

    The PNG is working fine for me here.  That suggests the issue is not with the file, but with your system.

    You can try some troubleshooting, see if anything helps.

    Just an FYI, Final Cut Pro, accepts these PNG files no problem. In the case of lower thirds graphics created in 2 or 2.5k FCP autoscales then for any size project you have even all he way down to SD.  Render and pow they are beautiful and clear.

    You can import .ai files directly into PP.  Have you tried that?

    Actually, the idea is that I made my animation from an .ai file in Animate and then exported it in a png image sequence. The reason why I want to import it in Premiere is because I like to do the final edit there. It was working before and I'm using the same settings, so I'm really confused

    Gotcha.

    I'm not at all familiar with Animate.  Have you explored other export options?

    Make sure they are 8 bit.

    Hi Feherlofia,

    Sorry for the issue. Is this happening with the PNG source from any different source? Please check if its happening just with Animate & Illustrator files.

    What are the export settings in Illustrator? Share a screenshot with us.

    If possible, share a sample PNG file with us. You can use Creative Cloud: Share Adobe Creative Cloud files, libraries, and more
